SYNOPSIS
THE AGE OF AQUARIUM is the first part of the trilogy, questioning the increasing close relationship of humankind and technology. It is a dance theatre piece created in collaboration with 5 international performers.
The piece explores the paradox behind the simultaneousness of the interconnection and the alienation that we experience since the arrival of the information era. Sometimes, we give more affection to our touchscreen than our beloved ones. What will remain, if a catastrophic event was to divest us of all these things?
There are beautiful, very poetic partner dances with subtle wit, clownish scenes at the edge of the stage, most of all, however, incredibly
powerful group scenes with elements from breakdance and acrobatics. In ecstasy bodies seem to fly and throw themselves down brutally. Daring jumps alternate with very tender movements. Struggle and love, addiction and freedom are very close to each other. The music is rocking and wild. Its speed whips a powerful heartbeat into the dancers. Quite an experience!
