SYNOPSIS
We delve into Edith’s privacy. Edith lives behind closed doors with her car, a silent and loyal companion that accompanies her daily. Seductive and narcissistic, she spends her time pretending within a world she has created in her own image, amid memories and fantasies.
By immersing ourselves in the heart of this tragicomic character’s universe, we only explore our relationship with the objects that surround us, the objects that contain our memories.
Edith has developed a relationship with her serving cart. She treats it as a person, her companion, friend, loyal soul, and even her lover. A kind of «marriage between her and it» is humorously celebrated in her solo performance.
«Some believe that the soul only resides in things that move. So, are objects soulless?»
EDITH combines enchanting, emotional moments with humorous, quirky, and surprising elements, her raw directness engages the audience, keeping them on the edge of their seats and pushing the boundaries of their comfort zone.
Edith is a collaboration between Camille Lejeune & Cia Nadine Gerspacher.
